Elopement at Cathedral Beach, Yosemite

Jamie + Nicole’s 2 Day Elopement at Cathedral Beach, Yosemite Park

Breathtaking Views

The views at Yosemite National Park were absolutely breathtaking for Jamie and Nicole’s Cathedral Beach elopement. We spent two days together, starting at Tenaya Lodge, then making our way to the beach for their ceremony. Day two was mostly spent hiking in the mountains, which yielded many jaw dropping moments.

Keeping it Simple

My adventure elopement photography allows you to boldly tell your story, with crafted moments that are raw and intentional. Jamie and Nicole kept it simple and intimate, as a shared experience the whole time. They got ready together at the lodge, doing their own hair and makeup, and even made their own fake flowers. Aren’t they gorgeous?

A Toast in the Mountains

One of the moments that we had decided on beforehand was a romantic toast in the mountains. It’s always good to have a plan going into an adventure session. Myself and my team want to make sure that we have everything you need, from glasses and bubbly, to all the supplies needed to ensure we Leave No Trace.

Leave No Trace

Heather Anderson Photography has a tremendous privilege to access amazing public lands that serve as the backdrop for your elopement. With that comes the responsibility to keep that “venue” unmarked so you can come back to the same location in 10, 20, or 50 years. I want that land to take your breath away because it looks and feels the same as the very moment you stood there and said your vows. The practices I follow through Leave No Trace serve that vision.

Is Elopement For You?

Are you seeing Jamie and Nicole’s photos and thinking that an adventure elopement may be right for you? Whether you want a sunrise ceremony, sunset wedding or would prefer a noon rendezvous, that’s up to you! A few weeks before your wedding, I’ll help you compile the timeline. The main items on the list are travel time, getting ready, the adventure, the vows and the post-ceremony celebration. What does your special day look and feel like?
