A Non-Traditional Glamping Elopement

A non-traditional two day Glamping Elopement at Big Sur

An Adventure Elopement

Learn all about Carly and Jake’s non-traditional two-day Glamping Elopement at Big Sur, and how it could be right the kind of adventure for you. I’m a California adventure elopement photographer that serves local and destination couples. I help daring lovers forge their own wild traditions, starting with an adventure elopement crafted just for them.

Two Days of Glamping

Do you ever think about saying goodbye to all the fuss and whisking your partner away for an elopement adventure? What about tying the knot, just the two of you, in the great outdoors? We had just this adventure with Carly and Jake for two fabulous days of glamping at Big Sur. It was truly unforgettable.

Couples That Dare

I absolutely LOVE couples that are willing to go non-traditional routes, and embrace an adventure together.

On day one of our glamping elopement adventure, Carly and Jake took a dip in the water and played on the beach at sunset. Then it was back to camp for a BBQ and Smores.

Coffee in Bed

The next morning we brought coffee in bed, because let’s be honest, sometimes greeting the sunrise takes some effort. We wanted Carly and Jake to have the morning together to snuggle while my team and I set up for their big day.

The Right Team

At the campground our team photographer and hair and makeup artist Stephanie got Carly and Jake camera ready. Stephanie got into the wedding industry as a hair and makeup artist, and now combines that talent with her love and skills with photography. She does most of our elopements and is fabulous! Carly and Jake said they loved getting dressed together before exploring the forest around the campgrounds at sunrise.

Vow Exchange and Artisan Picnic

After the bride and groom were ready, we then headed into the Redwoods for their vow exchange and an Almond Champagne pop provided by us from Wilson Creek Sparkling Wines. My team and I always love finding a local shop or cafe to add to the coupe’s picnic, and one of our favorite spots in Big Sur is Lafayette French Bakery and Cafe. For the artisan picnic Carly and Jake enjoy some delicious local sandwiches and macaroons. It’s a wonderful treat after a short hike.

A Final Hike at Sunset

After their picnic, Carly and Jake hiked around the redwoods and explored Big Sur until sunset. We then headed out to the coastline and watched the sun setting before picking up pizza’s on our way back to camp.

The whole weekend was absolutely magical, and an elopement for the books. Sometimes a private two day glamping adventure can be more memorable for a couple than a big party that only lasts a few hours. You just have to have a photographer who understands how to shoot in nature, but how to lead you on a comfortable and exciting adventure. That’s what I’m here to do!
