Cassia & Matthew’s Winery Engagement Session

Matthew proposed to Cassia in Munich. She was traveling to a trade show for work and they decided to extend the trip a few days to do some personal traveling!

Matthew flew out to meet her on the last day of the tradeshow and stopped through London on his way! After a few days in Munich, they flew together to Berlin! One night Matthew had planned a dinner out and they strolled through the downtown plaza where the Berlin Radio Tour stands and lights up at night. While they strolled under the stars and city lights, he really shared how much he loved Cassia and while looking up at the tower, Matthew got down on one knee and popped the question!

During his layover in London he had stopped at Tiffany & Co. he had gotten one of the bands that she had mentioned she loved from Paloma Picasso’s collection! Matthew’s wedding band is also from Picasso’s collection and is modeled after the designers wedding band!

A little about the Matthew and Cassia as a couple:

Matthew and Cassia love to travel, ski, surf, kickbox, bike, hike – and just about anything else outdoors! They love to see the world and experience different cultures and cuisines together! They are also Disney Annual Passholders and LOVE spending weekends at the parks catching up with our friends! (Matthew does an amazing Mickey Mouse impression – and shares a birthday with Walt Disney!)

Matthew and Cassia met in a young professional group in a parent organization for our companies! We first met at an event for work and quickly became friends and the rest is history.

Words from Cassia about her engagement ring:

My engagement ring is also really special! On a separate travel adventure – Matthew and I got the opportunity to travel to Guatemala to visit to see our sponsored child, Angela. Since my junior year of High School, I have been writing and sponsoring her through Compassion International, and we finally got to meet in person and take Angela and her dad to a local amusement park in Guatemala City! The next day Matthew and I planned a day together in Antigua, the home of the world’s only source of blue and lavender shades of Jade. We fell in love with the ring and it’s 6 shades of jade featured in the infinity shape design, and will forever remember our love and mission together with this ring!

I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in Palm Springs this upcoming October!
