Shooting this stunning and intimate Big Sur elopement was an absolute dream! The couple and all their guests stayed at the most adorable little place, Hidden Valley Inn! The rooms where each individual and the Inn served an amazing breakfast. As everyone arrive, they spent time near the pool with family and friends. Meanwhile, I spent the time to go check out the beautiful beach location they wanted to have their ceremony at. I spoke with the park ranger and we were all set for the next day! That night I met up with them and their guest across the street at an amazing cafe for their welcome dinner. The next morning they each excitedly got ready at the Inn. Their wedding ended up taking place at a gorgeous private oceanside estate, but this location was not the original plan.
Hilary owns her own hair salon @_thewhitefern_ so she did her own hair and make up while her best friend’s work on making her the perfect bouquet. After some getting ready shots, the groom and I headed off to Pfiffer State Beach with his bride to be 15 minutes behind us in another car. Once we arrived at the location, we were told the lot was full and no one else would be allowed down to the beach. Fortunately, the groom’s aunt happened to know someone that had a private estate near by! She made a quick call and we were on our way! The new ceremony location turned out to be a dream and made for a a stunning, private and really perfect backdrop for them to say I DO! The new location was meant to be and these two were so happy just to be together with their closest family and friends.
Each detail beautifully captured these two and their sweet love for one another. It couldn’t have been more perfect! I love elopements and this one was amazing!! I am so happy for you both and was so thrilled to be there to capture such a special day in your lives!
