Pop the Champagne and let’s celebrate LOVE!!
Valentine’s Day is traditionally thought of as a holiday to celebrate romantic relationships.
But my mom use to make a huge deal out of Valentine’s Day for me as a kid so for me it has always been about about honoring my tribe of friends and family.
I still remember sitting down with foil, glitter, stickers and markers to cut out hearts and create little notes of love for my classmates. Maybe it is my creative heart but this was a tradition I really enjoyed. I still make valentine’s day cards for my tribe and my kids and it is one of my favorite things to do.
I use the day as a reminder to be thankful for the ones I love and to make sure they know I love them.
As Mother Teresa said, “Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.”
So even if you are not celebrating a romantic love this Valentine’s Day remember to shower those you love with love!!
