I wanted to create a session that would help women get out of their heads and remind them to live in their bodies. I was hosting a retreat to empower and inspire women photographers and I wanted the subject matter they were shooting to also reflect that. Women tend to live in emotions and thoughts. Rarely exploring and feeling freely with their bodies. I wanted to set this session at sunset when the world is waking up, just as we are living in a time when women are waking up and living and speaking their truth. I think that a boudoir is an incredible way to get women into their body and out of their heads.
