Kathryn and Justin’s Allied Arts Guild Wedding

Kathryn and Justin met in grad school in Los Angeles when he was studying to be a logician and she was studying to be an Egyptologist. Even though they weren’t really looking for anything serious and they were so different, something just clicked and inspired them to stick it out through two years of mostly long distance (Kathryn was excavating in rural Egypt in the fall and winter and justin was spending summers on the east coast). They eventually both left their academic pursuits that kept them apart and reinvented themselves in the Bay Area, and have been together ever since!

Like most couples, their wedding was rescheduled this year due to Covid. They found another location in the Redwoods but unfortunately due to the wildfires this year they had to find another location at the last minute.

Kathryn booked the Allied Arts Guild for a small intimate wedding and we made a plan to find some open trails in the redwoods for a sunrise encore session the day after their wedding. She runs this path so we took a few photos of her in her running shoes as well.

Are you looking for a photographer for your elopement or micro wedding? I still have availability for 2021 and I would love to chat!
