I wanted to share a few things with you about me and my photography before you choose to book with me to help make the process a little easier on you!
From booking until gallery delivery you will receive the same experience. My goal is to provide you with service that leaves you with a happy heart, perfect images and something you will cherish for the rest of your life. I love shooting in naturally lit outdoor venues, and I leap at any chance to rush off to a desert engagement, garden wedding or vineyard reception. Natural light is key to my style of photography and best for my preferred medium: film. But while I love film, I am a hybrid photographer, so I also incorporate digital shots into any wedding day. The Heather Anderson Photography couple loves the simple elegance, adventure, epic locations and wild places!! They also love all things timeless and romantic. They live for untamed, wild florals and soft color palettes…but do not fear the occasional bold pop of color or the next epic adventure. They are attentive to the details and infuses their personality into every moment of her wedding day, making their day about their love.
I am a hybrid shooter
I am a hybrid photographer, meaning I shoot in both digital and film, so my clients get the best of both worlds. In the age of instant everything it may be hard to believe that I still choose film photography, but I have always loved the timeless look of film and I believe it is worth the wait! My images will produce a joyful storytelling of your love story. I strive to provide my couples with a stress-free wedding experience, along with timeless images they can cherish for a lifetime.
I am very outgoing and a toucher.
I am not a quiet person and I like to hug my couples (and their guests) when I see them. I believe firmly in the essential connection between clients and their photographer. Through personal connections, I am able to tell your story in the most honest, authentic way. Comfort with your photographer brings down walls, allowing the real you to shine through. It also allows you to live in the moment, so I can capture it for you to treasure long after the wedding flowers fade. I like to take control of your day so you don’t have to. I meet with my brides many times during the planning process. I help them with the schedule, shot list and family drama. I help them find vendors and unless they have a wedding planner, I keep an eye on the timing of the day. My brides are laid back people that trust me and are not scared to just sit back and enjoy.

Well, if you want me on your wedding, get ready for a girl screaming instructions from 40 yards away so that I can get the whole story and all the amazing backdrops of your venue or location. in a very funny but lovely accent. (Sometimes this comes really handy as an icebreaker with your bridal party though!)
I am going to cry on your wedding day, and that is a FACT.
I am a mom of 3, I can’t keep it together during the parent dances. I promise I won’t miss the shot but I can’t promise I won’t sob during it.
I like to work with my couples before the wedding.
I believe in order to capture the moments of genuine, honest emotion between two people in love, it is unquestionably essential to build a connection between the couple and the photographer. By getting to know my couples during an engagement, learning their stories and listening to their hopes for the future, I am able to draw out their personalities and help them to relax in front of the camera. My photography thrives on the natural and the unstaged, rather than tired, overused poses. Though my couples are stunning, I find it vital in great engagement photography to remember that these are real couples showing real emotions, not models at the service of their photographer. Engagement sessions are a perfect way to get to get comfortable with your photographer before the big day, but most of all, they are so much fun! After booking, I provide a variety of engagement session tips, and we will chat about everything from location to wardrobe as we create a session that is perfectly you! I will also help you stylize your engagement session with florals, props and any other fun elements you want to include!!

When you book us for your wedding day, whether it be a traditional day where you walk down the aisle and throw a party to celebrate your love, or you want something a little more intimate and adventurous, we will be there to capture every moment. When you choose us, you are going to get so much more than lovely photos. We strive to make sure that your wedding day and photo experience is enjoyable, romantic and adventurous. We want to get to know you and help plan your perfect wedding day! From epic locations, to timelines and shot lists, we will be there to help with all the details along the way. We are all about documenting true love and adventure, and chasing the perfect light.
Why do I need a consult?
I would love to set up a time to meet and go over all your wedding day details. I have an office space in Murrieta if live nearby and want to do an in person consult. Otherwise, we can set up a facetime or phone call. This usually take about 45 minutes. I know you probably have a lot of questions and I cannot wait to get to know both of you and share my ideas and experience with you. You can set up a time that works best for you here
How do I book?
Contact me to set up your FREE consult with me so we can go over all your wedding details and make sure we are a good fit!! After our consult, I will send over a detailed email with the package that best fits your needs. This will include an invoice and a contract. I will hold your date for 7 days after your consult. Once you make the 40% deposit your date will be reserved and I will send over your welcome package with the 76 page wedding guide to help you with every step of your wedding planning.
