Los Angeles Engagement Locations

The holidays mean I get to spend so much time with my family (which I am ever so thankful for) but it also means that it is ENGAGEMENT season. Engagement season is one of my favorite times of the year for a few reasons. I get to meet new new brides and grooms during the happiest times of their lives, I get to help create the perfect day with them and I can’t help but feed off of their love and happy energy. HAPPY ENERGY IS EVERYTHING!

During the process of meeting with my new couples one of the first things we talk about is their engagement session. Over the next few weeks I am going to be sharing with you some of my favorite engagement locations throughout California. Today, I will be telling you about my four favorite locations in the LA area.

Downtown LA: Downtown LA has a variety of locations to choose from. You can go to the arts district, the Disney Concert Hall and LA Library or the Grand Central Market. You can go to downtown LA all year around and there are no fees.

The Los Angeles Arboretum: The Los Angeles Arboretum is best in the summer time because of its beautiful landscapes. Inside of the arboretum you will find bamboo forests, and African – like landscapes and even a few waterfalls. The photography permit fee is $50 plus $9 per person at the door.

Santa Monica Pier: The Santa Monica Pier is one of the best places in LA to shoot! It is so fun, you and your significant other will get to interact with each other in different ways you can play games and ride the ferris wheel or even enjoy a funnel cake together! There is no fee to enter the pier.

The Greystone Mansion: The Greystone Mansion is located in Beverly Hills close to Rodeo Drive. This location is perfect for the couple that wants to have the high end editorial look for their engagement photos. The permit fee for the mansion is $305 per hour.

Pasadena City Hall: The Pasadena City Hall is a very popular location that is beautiful all year around. The architecture is a staple and it makes for gorgeous pictures. The permit fee is $50 for the day.
