He was invited by a friend to Crab Hut. He knew he was in for a good meal, what he didn’t know was that he would find his soul mate. Van was Hieu’s server that night. Hieu immediately noticed her smile; he couldn’t focus on anything but her beautiful smile and the positive energy he felt from her. He knew he had to get her number and ask her out. Vietnamese New Year was around the corner; he thought it would make the perfect first date. Van wasn’t so sure that a 2-hour car ride was such a good idea for their first date, but he got her to agree to go with him. That first date was filled with laughter, life stories, and good food. After that, the two were inseparable.
Hieu knew he needed to surprise Van with an epic proposal. He got her friends and co-workers to help him out. She was told she needed to attend a business meeting. She was tired after a long day of work and sat down ready to watch a business proposal slideshow. However, what played on the slide show was much different… it was a marriage proposal video Hieu created for her!
Hieu and Van are my first wedding of 2017 and I cannot wait for their wedding this January in Coronado!
