They meet working a summer camp for youth together. I am not surprised that now they both teach. It took a while before they went from co-workers to friends and finally into the dating stage. But, it was worth the wait! They are such an adorable couple-they even ordered the same drink (an old fashion). I bet a lot of men would agree that Steve is lucky to have found a girl that will drink whiskey with him. Their first date was at Polite Provisions in Normal Heights San Diego, so, we figured that was the perfect spot to start their engagement session.
Normal Heights downtown area is a romantic and fun little strip of shops and bars. If you are looking for a fun date night this is it! We took photos at the exact table they had their first date. Might be worth trying out this spot – worked for these two!
It is obvious these two are in love. I love the way Steve can make her smile light up!
He told me he loves her because she makes him comfortable. Having someone that makes you feel at home is a good thing.
After Polite Provisions and a stroll through the area we head down to their favorite Ice Cream shop. It is where she said YES! So, we had to stop for some cones.
It was an amazing day filled with drinks, romance, ice cream and beautiful San Diego sunsets! What more could you ask for!? Me, nothing! I am even more excited about shooting their wedding this fall at 32N Brewery!
